Folic Acid
Common Uses:
Folic Acid is a B-complex vitamin,
used to treat or prevent certain types of anemia due to folic acid
deficiency, also used in energy production, red blood cell formation,
protein metabolism, prevention of birth defects, RNA/DNA synthesis,
cell division and replication, tissue growth, nervous system health,
immune response, blood
health, depression,
anxiety, uterine cervical dysplasia and embryonic and fetal nerve
cell formation.
Directions:
Follow the directions for using Folic Acid provided by your Pharmacist,
Physician, Primary Care Provider or on the package. Store Folic
Acid at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from
heat and light. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and
go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at
once.
Side Effects:
Side effects that may occur while taking Folic Acid may include rash or itching. If you notice any effects, consult your Pharmacist, Physician or Primary Care Provider.
