Claritin
Common Uses:
Claritin is an antihistamine used to treat hay fever and other allergy
conditions such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes, and sneezing.
May also be used to treat hives.
Directions:
Follow the directions for using Claritin provided by your Pharmacist,
Physician or Primary Care Provider. Claritin may be taken on an
empty stomach or with food. Store at room temperature in a tightly
closed container, away from heat and moisture. If you miss a dose,
and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If
it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go
back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Side Effects:
Side effects that may occur while taking Claritin include headache,
dry mouth, and dry nose. If they continue or are bothersome, check
with your Pharmacist, Physician or Primary Care Provider. Contact
your Pharmacist, Physician or Primary Care Provider immediatly if
you develop a rapid or pounding heartbeat, dizziness or unusual
weakness while taking Claritin. Claritin does not usually cause
drowsiness when used at recommended doses and under normal circumstances.
However, use caution before engaging in activities that require
alertness until you know how you react to Claritin. If you notice
any effects, consult your Pharmacist, Physician or Primary Care
Provider.
