Colchicine
Common Uses:
Colchicine is an antigout agent used to treat and prevent pain associated
with gouty arthritis.
Directions:
Follow the directions for using Colchicine provided by your Pharmacist,
Physician or Primary Care Provider. Store Colchicine at room temperature
in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. If you
miss a dose of Colchicine and you are using it regularly, take it
as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip
the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do
not take 2 doses at once.
Side Effects:
Side effects that may occur while taking Colchicine include nausea,
vomiting, or diarrhea, skin rash, sore throat, fever, unusual bleeding
or bruising, or unusual tiredness or weakness. If you notice any
effects, consult your Pharmacist, Physician or Primary Care Provider.
